Wealth & Poverty Review Steve Hickey Resigns from Position as Fire Commissioner

View at X

Game Over

Embattled King County Fire Commissioner Steve Hickey resigned Saturday evening from Fire Protection District #47 in Ravensdale. Hickey was being investigated for corruption.

Earlier this year, he was removed as a volunteer firefighter. The squeeze is on.

Corruption Investigation Findings Not Released

It’s unclear why Kangley-Palmer Fire and Rescue has still not released the findings into the Hickey corruption investigation.

Hickey Remains in Freitag’s Home

As for his squatting case, a judge has already ruled the Ravensdale house belongs to Katrina Freitag. But when sheriff’s deputies showed up to throw him out last week, he successfully argued that his bankruptcy filing allows him to stay for now.

Correspondence with Hickey’s Attorney

Meanwhile, Hickey’s attorney Ben Ellison responded to my inquiry with this email taking personal shots at my character. He also misspelled the name of his client and referred to him as “Mr. Hockey.”

Trail of Victims

As we looked further into Hickey, he also left a trail of victims in a construction hustle. He’s no longer licensed in WA to operate in this field.

Crumbling

Hickey’s house of cards is starting to crumble.
